About our Research
In a world overloaded with screens, stress, and constant demands, relaxation has become difficult. Chronic tension impacts focus, cognition, and well-being. If we can improve our ability to relax using smart, evidence-based tools, we can enhance quality of life, productivity, and presence.
We are studying the effect of motion on relaxation because nature and everyday life show a clear connection. Mothers rock their babies to calm them. People relax in hammocks, fall asleep during car or train rides, or float peacefully on water. These patterns suggest that certain types of movement naturally help the body relax.
In this study, you'll lie on a specially designed chair that moves in gentle, controlled ways—like rhythmic rocking, circular motion, or up-and-down swaying. During the session, we’ll measure your heart rate, HRV, skin conductance (EDA), and ask how relaxed you feel. The session lasts about 45 minutes, in a quiet, distraction-free room. It’s completely non-invasive, fully voluntary, and you can stop at any time.
Our goal is to discover which motions best support relaxation and use that knowledge to build a smart system that helps the body calm itself naturally and precisely.
As a participant, you’ll enjoy a rare chance to disconnect, relax in a peaceful setting, and learn how your body responds to calm. You’ll also contribute to a cutting-edge study with potential global impact.
